OMGOMGOMG...it's a boy!!

Posted by XIBALBA at 10:30 PM 0 comments
So we finally had our BIG ultrasound and saw our little one swimming around my belly while we watched in awe. We were able to see his little face, his little mouth, his tiny heart beating super fast, his legs, hands, knees, toes, arms, fingers...actually, we were able to see him sucking his thumb and then getting the hiccups as we were finishing the ultrasound.
The technician took all of the measurements and then asked:
Tech: "How far along are you?"
Me: "About 15 weeks and 1 day".
Tech: "Hahaha. You're almost 18 weeks according to the measurements".
Me: "Really?!!"
Tech: "Let me measure again just to be sure".
*3 minutes later*
Tech: "Yup. 17 weeks and 5 days according to this".
Me: "Yay!!! That means I'm almost 5 months and not barely 4!!"
*Silence*
Tech: "Do you guys want to know the sex?"
J and I: "We'd love too, if it's possible!"
Tech: "Sure, give me a minute".
J took my hand while we stared at the screen with anxiety...
Tech: "Do you see that? That's his pee-pee...you guys are having a boy!!!"
J and I: "OMGOMGOMGOMGOMG!!!!!!!!!
Then she started printing some pictures for us while I got up and recover from the big news. She explained to us about the umbilical cord being too close to the end of the placenta and that she will recommend having ANOTHER ultrasound at my 20 something appointment just to make sure everything is still okay. After that she left the room to get her printed report and J and I hurried to message our families and friends the good news!
We are so very happy that we can start choosing names for good and that I can finish up all of my projects knowing I'll need lots and lots of blue yarn!!
I'm so excited...I can't stop looking at his pictures, I love him so so so very much already, I just can't wait for him to make his debut!!!
Here I include some of his pictures so you guys can meet him!
Love you all;

15 weeks!!!

Posted by XIBALBA at 11:45 PM 0 comments
So crossed the 14 weeks mark last Monday Aug. 24, which marks the end of the first trimester and the start of the second, and obviously I couldn't be happier! The nausea goes away (not entirely in my case), the tiredness starts to wear off your body, and you feel much better than the previous 14 weeks!

I didn't remember to write about it last week (Sorry, I forgot!!) but I'm updating everyone now!!

We have our second Ultrasound tomorrow, and if we are lucky enough we might just be able to find out the sex of the baby!! OMG, I just can't wait!!!!!

So, I'll let you guys know more after we come back from the appointment!!

Love y'all;

Winter is coming!

And I couldn't be happier about it since being outside on the heats worsens my nausea and morning sickness so knowing that it's getting cooler (finally) it's pretty cool!! ;)

I came across this morning on my fave preganacy message board, BabyCenter.com , that there is a website that is giving away Uggs for free, and let's face it: Who doesn't like the word "free"?

I just don't like it...I love it!! And I couldn't resist the offer, so I entered my info and now we start the ugly part: waiting!! *Ugh*

So they are for now giving away 3 pairs every 2 months, so the chances are pretty low (I mean, how many other people already know about this by now? C'mon) but a chance is a chance, no matter how big or small!! =)

Okay that's me informing the lastest from here!!

Take care;

Need help from open minded moms!

Posted by XIBALBA at 11:40 AM 0 comments
Okay, so I'm thinking about cloth diapering the baby, I know it's early but with school starting in 3 weeks I won't have time to do anything besides homework and house work!!

So, I need mommies feedback...I was raised with cloth diapers, and I wish to do the same for my baby. It's a fact that it is healthier, better for the environment, and even cheaper...but since we don't live on a house (maybe by the time the baby arrives, but who knows) I would need to hire a diaper service which makes it a little bit costlier but more efficient for me per say, taking it to a tie with disposable diapers cost wise and waste wise.

So, how was your experience with cloth diapers? If you too are expecting, will you try them? Did you hated them and went with the other option? What label/brand of diaper wrap/cover would you recommend? If you are a mommy in Arizona like me, what service did you tried?

I have found 2 legit looking companies that offer the full diaper service, so far if I decide to go with the cloth diapers, I'll be using the services of "Next Generation Baby," their website offers a great amount of information, plus they have a trial pack (which would be awesome for the first weeks before making a full commitment), and offer an online store which carries different types of wraps and covers for their diapers. =D

So far J has leaved everything up to me, he really doesn't oppose to my ideas while I have enough information to back up my decisions. He's such a supportive of non-traditional methods for raising kids while they have a scientific and logic explanation of their pros and cons. =)

I'll be waiting for answers (if I get any) from you experienced mommies out there and future moms-to-be like me who are in need of advice.

Thanks for reading and supporting the cause!! ;)

P.S:
Any type of feedback is welcomed for both types of diapers, because I prefer to have some reviews than going into it fully blinded and holding high expectations.

We are pregnant!!

Holy Mackerel!! I can't believe it yet, every time I say it out loud sounds unreal!!

So we had our Big Fat Positive (BFP) a while ago, around July 5th, but we didn't got to see the baby until the 23rd on a sonogram...it was amazing seeing such a little baby floating and moving around like a dancer without feeling a thing!! 0_0

So I measured at 9 weeks and 4 days, which means that I'm 10w4d today!! Yay, I can't wait to turn 12w so I can kiss goodbye morning sickness, and wait to start feeling the baby move, knowing that she/he can hear my voice (I already sing, but it's just for practice ;D), play music, and so many other little activities that make this stage on a woman's life so special.

I can only hope that my school schedule won't give me a hard time during the last weeks of classes, since the semester ends on December and the baby will be arriving some time in February I know that I'll look ginormous, but my overall confort/health and the baby's will come first no matter what.

Oh, J and I got married on tuesday, it was a very simple and intimate reunion with out closest friends who joined us at court, and later we went to Hooters to grab a bite, get a drink (I got water, of course), and to talk about past memories while creating new ones! (Jacob: Hey!! Waitress: WTF? Are you talking to me??! Jacob: 0_0;;).

Well, that's all for now. I'll be back soon with more info and more updates about the baby, school, and my latest adventures!!

Love you all;
